If it was possible to award less than zero stars as a rating then this post office and indeed more particularly its staff would surely be deserving of a significant minus rating.Rude, unhelpful and do not seem be interested in the customer and do not like being challenged.Particulars - The staff do not seem to have any comprehension of geographical boundaries. The Netherlands is NOT part of the UK, when arranging and paying for postage. A prepaid parcel which complied completely with the regulations on the Royal Mail website and the website then directed me to the Taff's Well post office as an appropriate post office to receive and dispatch the parcel. The staff as soon I stepped across the threshold of the entrance door, refused to accept the parcel, said that there was a sign in the door indicating that they do not accept such parcels (there were a plethora of signs, none of which dealt with the type of parcels they receive and deal with) and when challenged about the regulations cited on the website, indicated that "the website was wrong that they "had complained to royal mail" The staff could not however give any evidence of when and to whom in Royal Mail they had made their "numerous complaints" Closed counter Health and safety issues was the cited reason - which is a misinterpretation of the rules..... The staff are not locked in a secure bubble behind the counter, and this was quite evident as the truculant post master made a point of coming out from behind the "closed counter" and leaving the door open - not sure who's health and safety is being protected - presumably the potential customers given the attitude of the staff!!!SUMMARY - DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE AT ALL COSTS
Don't rely on the opening times listed online; they've simply overwritten closing time on a Saturday from 7:30pm to 6pm. Father's Day present now unable to be picked up on time as planned. Very disappointed.
They are very rude and will not except online postage. I recommend going to a more professional post office who actually take online postage. They seem to have the power to reject mail probably because they don't make any money from the online postage and try to make you to purchase over the counter. Even after a couple of phone calls to royal mail who told me they can't reject they got quite rude, I ended up going to Treforest post office who had no problem in accepting online postage.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!This is the most pathetic excuse for a business I've ever experienced, I was overcharged for sending a t shirt, the woman charged me 4.50 when it should have been about 2. Upon returning to question this i was confronted with a barrage of lies, she told me 2nd class signed for doesn't include Saturdays when the royal mail website clearly states that it does and when told this she got aggressive and couldn't admit she was wrong. Neither person made an attempt to try and actually help me, which just about sums up the non existent customer service skills these two possess. They will try and overcharge you and then lie to you from their small, run down store, avoid at all costs if possible and I would have preferred to drive my delivery to Liverpool myself than have to expose myself to this shambles of an attempt at customer service.
